About Me: If you selected Other as your reason for joining please also provide details here: Joi is her name and Joy is her game. Home-schooled her entire life, this young woman of God is now continuing a new phase of life in her college and acting career. As you can probably guess, her personality is like her name. It’s unique and joyful because God told her mother to specifically name her Joi.
Although she is an adult, she stills finds extreme pleasure in watching CGI and traditionally animated films and cartoons. From when she was a little girl, this love sparked her interest in writing stories. This spark ignited into a flame as she grew older. Now, Joi attends Columbia College Chicago for Film and Video and continues to fan her flame. Specifically, she aims to direct for animated and traditional films. One of her aspirations is to direct at Pixar Animation Studios and then to become the Chief Creative Officer at Disney and Pixar.
As far as acting, she earnestly wants to do it all, from on-camera work to voiceover work. To her, it’s not all about “the money”; it’s about enjoying what you do and building relationships. She fully believes that it is possible to use all of her potential and fulfill her God-given assignment without compromising her walk with God.
