“A women’s heart should be so hidden in Christ that a man should have to seek Him first to find her”
I think this quote is talking much more deeper than just love. Our heart long to be hidden in someone who will protect, love and cherish us for who we are and who we are becoming, but for to many women this journey to be hidden in someone ends in broken hearts and wasted lives.
In todays youth most young women are “hiding” themselfs in boyfriends, appearance, clothes and drugs. A women's identity in this world is based on her man, body and status. These mindset of young girls are toss into the world searching to be hidden in something just to fit in, and to find their own happiness. They are deceived when a boyfriends dosnt make you feel safe, your image changes, and at the end of the day you are still fighting that awful hunger for something more in the core of your soul.
“Set your mind on things above, not on the thing that are on earth. For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God” Col. 3:2-3
Dieing to the world and its ways, we can set our hearts on someone els. Self has died- and life is hidden in Christ. The word hidden can also be used as planted, like a seed. Its like we that died to sin are like a seed, dead in itself, but in Christ hidden and buried we become alive and fruitful. We are safe and secure in Christ. Our hears are hidden in Christ alone and this is where we belong.
We also have to relies that we wont “fit in” by the worlds standards. Having a heart hidden in Christ results in a set apart lifestyle this is lived differently than the people who are in the world. We shouldn't act, dress, talk , or behave like the world, because we don't seek the things the world seeks. I know we all have our faults, and thats a big key point we all must work on if we want to grow closer to God and have a strong relationship with Him.
Our hearts seek no one els for the happiness we find in Jesus, and if it be His will, He will bless us with an earthly man |or women for the guys :) | who can and will represent to us Christ Himself in many ways. For the women who's heart is truly hidden in Christ is favored to receive a man seeking after Gods heart in all his ways, including finding her.

Lol! I hear you:-) God's timing is best - I just have to try harder to convince myself of that sometimes. Knowing that He knows best allows me to trust His ways, nomatter how difficult for me.
Comment by Virgiree Steve on February 18, 2012 at 10:10am Im glad to here that. All glory to God, and about you turning 30. Your age dosn't matter. And if your worried about having kids older that dosn't matter either! Look what God did for Abraham and Sara. If He can do that for them He can do that for anyone. Lets just hope not as old as them! haha
Well written! Truth. Thought-provoking.
One of the older ladies in my local church said to me, "Nandi, the man who marries you should go to Christ to find you and He will present you to him - you don't present yourself to any man!". This was a couple of months ago and I find myself replaying these words as I wonder about the future and think about marriage (what can I say, I'm turning 30 next year so everyone and their aunty's been asking me about it!).
The scripture you quoted, "...For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God" has also given me such peace. I'm hidden WITH Christ IN God - what better address to have? :-)
